Our Services

At The Rising Center, we understand the immense pain and suffering that survivors of sexual assault and abuse experience. Our center extends throughout the Kentucky River region, encompassing Breathitt, Knott, Lee, Leslie, Letcher, Owsley, Perry, and Wolfe counties to provide medical care, legal assistance, advocacy services, and mental health support. We strive to offer a safe space for every survivor and their loved ones to seek comfort and answers as they embark on the journey towards recovery.

We are committed to providing comprehensive services such as crisis counseling and medical advocacy to help survivors heal from the physical trauma caused by rape or sexual abuse. Additionally, our licensed therapists are trained in specialized trauma therapies designed to address the emotional pain associated with such traumatic experiences. Furthermore, our legal team is available to guide survivors through civil protection orders or other court proceedings needed to obtain justice.

At The Rising Center we recognize that taking back control after experiencing an act of violence is no easy task – but you are not alone. Our compassionate advocates are here to listen without judgement and provide essential resources for healing so that every survivor can start rebuilding their life today.
